Dizem que no meio está a virtude! Não posso concordar totalmente, mas o equilíbrio, esse sim, é algo fundamental.
Recentemente, uma viagem de sonho a África levou-me ao equador.
Se havia várias coisas sobre as quais me perguntava acerca do equador, uma era se lá fazia mesmo muito calor e se é possível observar facilmente as implicações do efeito Coriolis que provoca um remoinho em direcções diferentes na água que corre pela pia. Curiosamente, parece que esta última é uma curiosidade que muitos anseiam por esclarecer. Uma espécie de mito à espera de ser desvendado. E claro que, no equador há muito a quem perguntar!
Segundo tive possibilidade de verificar, bastam 20metros de distância ao equador para ser possível ver o efeito Coriolis a transformar a direcção do remoinho de água. E no equador, a água flui sem criar qualquer remoinho! Se é mito ou verdade: é mesmo verdade!

If there were several things about which I wondered about in the equator, one was if the whether is really hot, and if you can easily observe the Coriolis effect that causes an whirlpool in different directions in the water that runs down the sink in the two hemisphere. Interestingly, it seems that the latter one is a curiosity that many crave to clarify. A kind of myth waiting to be unraveled. Of course, at the equator everyone is able to do it!
As I verified, 20 meters is enough away to the equator to you to be able to see the Coriolis effect. And at the equator, the water flows without creating any whirlwind! Whether it is myth or reality: reality!
